12+ months to go

- Visit venues
- Research dress style
10-12 months to go
- Book venue/s.
- Book photographer & videographer
- Book officiant
- Research florists
- Buy your dream dress!
8-10 months to go
- Book any outstanding suppliers (florists, DJs, caterers, transportation)
- Finalise guest list
- Research local hotels for guests
- Start choosing bridesmaid dresses
6-8 months to go
- Choose your wedding cake
- Book make up artist & hair stylist
- Meet with officiant and start planning ceremony
- Get groom's & groomsmen attire
- Purchase wedding rings
4-6 months to go
- Send invitations
- Book honeymoon
- Schedule dress fitting/ alterations
- Meet with florist
- Give DJ a 'to play' list
- Order favours
- Plan hen do/ stag night
3 months to go
- Create ceremony & reception timeline
- Buy wedding decor & accessories
- Buy gifts for the wedding party
- Finalise menu with caterer
- Give notice/ apply for marriage licence
2 months to go
- Pay suppliers
- Enjoy hen do/ stag night
- Write vows
- Finalise plans with officiant
- Create seating plan
- Create a wedding day schedule for suppliers
1 month to go
- Confirm details with all suppliers
- Attend final dress fitting
- Finalise honeymoon details & pack
- Collect wedding rings
- Pick up groom's, groomsmen and bridesmaids' attire
1-2 weeks to go
- Contact guests who haven't RSVP'd
- Give final numbers to caterer
- Make sure DJ has music choices
- Print readings
- Give photographer image list
The day before
- Decorate venue/ speak with venue
- Give best man rings
- Lay out everything you need (including speech notes!)
- Get mani/pedi
The big day
